Hi Fabbers,
Lyn D and I met today at Chadstone Shopping Centre for a browse and lunch together. Chadstone is the largest shopping Centre complex in Australia and they have a wonderful selection of stores,
We were well behaved and met primarily for a catch up, but we did check out Zara, Metalicus, Trenery and Chanel.
Lyn bought a really fab crop sweater in cream from Metalicus (and I am sorely tempted to try out the black version myself). In the pics she is trying it on over the Copenhagen draped tunic in cobblestone (that she already owns). It looked very cool! It's a knit and a more sophisticated and grown version of a cropped top.
Hard to see on the iPhone pics but the tunic has an amazing drape back.
I bought tights from Metalicus (Lyn I went past and got them on my way out) and that was my shopping for the day.
I found Zara quite disappointing, nothing really caught our attention. I tried on a coat with an interesting collar but it was less interesting once on.
Trenery, had some lovely things, and we had fun in Metalicus trying on a number of items:). Then we headed to lunch and we finished the day with a browse through Chanel. "Genuine" customers were offered beverages in Chanel (we tried not to feel too rejected) and the service appeared to be pretty amazing. It was fun to see Chanel up close and be able to touch the garments and see what makes them so special (silk lining anyone?).
All in all a fab day, and thank you to Lyn for her wonderful company, she is a delight! Next time I am definitely traveling to Melbourne the night before as both our recent get togethers have seen me a little "car lagged" from the early travel - I am sadly not a morning person.
xxxDeborah
