As Astrid had mentioned in her thread, the two of us had met yesterday. This was my first get-together with someone met through YLF and, as many of you had experienced, it is quite something. Surreal and so nice (to tweak the quote from one film, extra points for those who recognise the original quote).

Astrid came to the meeting place first and I mention this because as I walked towards her, she was looking in another direction and I could not see her face, but I recognised her instantly - by the posture. It was just like seeing Astrid's WIW - except there she was, in person, in 3D

When she saw me, she gave me the warmest smile. And, as I wrote in her thread, there was a sense of calm about her that I instantly found so captivating and it just felt great to be around her.

Regarding outfits talk (since we're on YLF), we both wore navy tops That was super fun. That and the fact that she looked great, she has found her style groove long ago, as you can see on her thread. And I especially loved her shoes.
I wore my green scarf - which she instantly noticed - and just in case she had trouble recognising me in the crowd.

We had enough time to meet for coffee and cake only during my lunch break. It was like talking to an old friend, the feeling those of you who had the pleasure to mer your YLF friends recognise very well, I'm sure. Astrid is observant, wise and just lovely. It was a great luck her plans brought her to Nuremberg where I work and now I can say that I had met her in person and I can tick off "Get-together with YLFer" off my list.

Astrid, thanks for a great time together and I hope we'll meet again very soon.
