Hi I was wondering who I can commiserate about migraines. I have had them since i was a teen. They seem to be tapering off as I near 50, but last night I had one. I get the "aura" which really worries me as they now say this can be an indicator of stroke risk! I sometimes go numb in the arms or digits.

I have been under a care of a neurologist all of my history, and I have had MRI checks periodically to be sure nothing else besides migraine is causing the "classic migraine" symptoms that come with the headache.

In fact, the older I get I find the headache isn't even that bad. It's the vision disturbances and light sensitivity that cause me to lay down in the dark for hours until the meds kick in. I usually take a Maxalt at the outset, followed by a pain pill to stave off any pain at the get-go.

Do you have migraine? How do you manage it? I want to suffer with you!
