Might be a YLF first - which color cane?

Since I'm going to move on to a cane soon (I hope) I thought, just for fun, you could all help me to pick a color. The BF is going tonight after work to pick one up.

which would you pick for me?

Boo - I see the link doesn't work and the pics are all small!! Purple, pink floral, leopard, bronze, silver, black, or light blue?

I like #1 3 and 6. They look fun and modern to me! I couldn't tell which was the leopard cane, but that would be fun too, would be a nice accessory to any outfit!

Fun! They are all $19.99. so price is no object ha ha. Leopard is #2. (there is a cammo but that is not even a consideration for me!)

Ive needed to use a cane for several years and one *really* important factor (ok, 2) is how comfortable the grip is in your hand- I personally have a harder time using the 'curved top' ones- (#2 and #4) it is harder to grip than a flatter one and also make sure the cane is the right height for you- you dont want to bend or stoop, even a little...or have to really bend your elbow if its too high. Hopefully you wont need to use it for a long period of time, but please choose carefully on fit and height over style....

Hbaber, you don't think that would bring associations to flamingos especially when I keep one foot off the ground?
Biscuitsmom - thanks for the insight. I did a quick research bit about them hitting right at the wrist bone (they are all adjustable models) and to use it in the opposite hand of your injury. Hence, the need for practice time around the house. The grip is good to know about - thank you!

Mo, Im glad to hear they are adjustable- shows how long Ive used the same one-lol. Yup, you definitely need to use it in the opposite hand- a couple of steps with the cane in the wrong hand will *quickly* teach you that! Good to know there is info available about usage- when I first needed it (back in the late 70's) all I had was a generic printout from the physical therapist! You are so welcome! Hope it helps a little....

OK I kind of love the pink floral. The idea of anything practical covered in flowers tickles me silly. I owned a pink floral hammer once... I miss that thing.

Well, the update is: they don't have leapord in stock But the BF listed the choices as matte purple, forest green, shower rod silver, or a blue with 'leapord like spots but not leopard' as he described it. So we will soon see what these mysterious spots look like when he comes home with it! I do tend to wear a lot of blue . . .

"Leapord like spots but not leopard" could be cheetah? I was going to suggest bronze, but looks like that's out. This mystery blue spotted one sounds fun though!

It is pretty comical, huh? I ended up with Blue Ice which looks kind of like tiny little champagne bubbles on a deep blue background. Sadly, I'm nowhere near ready to put that much weight on the foot and can't use it yet Had my hopes up. I'll be practicing little by little around the house, but for now it's still the walker for me.
