Last night, a bunch of friends and I went to Holt Renfrew (sort of like Nordies, in the states, I guess) - and there were hourly specials, including things like 50% one hour on all Burberry, another hour featured Theory, one hour was Smythe, and one hour was Kate Spade and Tory Burch - it was CRAZY. There were tons of people there! I was totally -not- prepared (and had to say bye-bye to a very beautiful Burberry trench because there was no way I had $1000 of disposable income); haha.
My friends bought beautiful Smythe blazers, and Burberry trenches, and various purses. It was a fun time, but I don't really like fighting a mob for things - but I figured that I would go because it was fun to hang out with my friends to do a "shopping activity" and I had never been inside the expensive department store before!
The Burberry jackets were simply beautiful (had to remind myself that I have a lovely trench at home and I simply do not need it in red ... until next year, my love!); and that the $1400 (after discount) purse was probably a little too expensive to carry around at work!
I also was able to see things like $80 men's socks - that's $40 a foot, folks! And I'm pretty sure my ENTIRE TIGHTS collection is less than $80 and I have 24 pairs of tights!!! And I didn't know there were such things as $400 cuff links, and $80 winter hats. Or $79 Armani cookies in a tin can.
I walked away from the melee with two bruises (one because I was shoved against a display and another one because someone had sharp nails), a sore elbow (from fighting off someone else)!
