Midi Skirt in a Skirt Suit-- Help me defrump!

I just bought two skirt suits with longer "midi" length skirts. I LOVE them with black tights and skyscraper patent pumps. But that won't work for job interviews... what would be the best stocking/ shoe combo? I am thinking nude for me stockings and nude for me pumps with a 3 inch heel. Any more brilliant ideas?

Is it a walking interview? (ie: MMI style - multiple mini interviews - like they have for medicine?)

I will take a photo a little later today. RE: why I can't do tights/ patent skyscrapers for the interview-- sometimes I can, but sometimes I cannot. I do HR, and am at an interesting place in my career where I am interviewing at a variety of types of firms. Some of them allow for more creativity, but you have to be well within dress codes as HR-- since you often have to enforce said dress code! I always err on the side of conservative, with plans to break out my own styles after a few weeks on the job. Plus I am in SE VA in the US-- things are either VERY conservative here or very informal.

Can't get pictures to work right. Need a better mirror/ lighting set up.
I solved the problem by going to a highly recommended tailor. She nipped out all the extra volume and now it is a very slim and flattering pencil. It has a lovely curved line that plays my curves up a la Joan on Mad Men but not quite as sexy! I'll post pics asap...
