Sad, this was definitely one of the better quality clothing chains in Canada (weirdly not sold in the U.S.?). They'll be selling their current stock and then closing.

I loved Mexx. Some of my favourite outfits were from Mexx. I was very sad to hear this news. I remember buying Mexx clothes in the 80s. My all time favourite outfit was from Mexx. I bought it in the 80s. Brown wide legged cropped pants and there were two tops that went with the pants. One was the same brown material. It was a cropped top. The other was a brown and cream stripped cropped top. Loved it.

I think they briefly had a store in Paramus (I might be wrong)
I don't remember much about the clothing at all,

Some of their items would turn up in TJMaxx and Marshalls here in the states -- I had a few things from them that were nice and lasted a good while. I didn't realize they were a Canadian company.

A few years ago I bought quite a few pieces from Mexx but I found the last few times I've been there, nothing seemed to fit right. I went with a friend who is very tiny (probably a size 2 and small framed) and between us, we tried on half the store and neither bought a thing.

It is a shame they didn't survive the downward turn in the economy.
