These could be very fab. As you have said, you can make use of lots of boots in your climate.
Though these are " unusual", I'd look to see if they in fact work as " outfit makers" which they might, due to pleas ing color contrasts, or lack thereof with bare legs, or proportions , like fit at the ankle. And would you retire some other boots, or expand your options?
( my mind is on how I need to focus and not just expand, so I'm projecting that).

You're talking to someone who always has a pair of ariat heritage lacers in rotation and although they are paddock boots, most people mistake them for army boots. This is a style that transcends trends. If you love them and they are comfortable I think you will enjoy them until they wear out!! Nice pair, great detail with color and pattern!!

Dang, Una! I should never click on your posts; they're dangerous!!! I'm not sure that I need forest green AND brown AND charcoal silver lace-up combat boots but I made my order. . .and they WILL bookend my hair. My justification is that lace-up footwear works for my fussy feet like nothing else. . .

Lisa, thanks for keeping me on track! I am selling my silver Elizabeth & James cowboy boots (less traction, not quite my style) to make room for these babies. They are a lot like Docs with similar fit and traction. Wore them today and loved them - perfect for my wide foot and skinny ankles. Once I adjusted the laces they actually zip on and off so no tying needed. Hoping to see some lemmings!
