Metallic skinnies - tight or slouchy?

I've seen them being worn both ways. Do you prefer the skin-tight look or the slouchy vibe?

Slouchy or body-skimming. For me, they are too tight when you can see pulling anywhere along the leg; it just isn't flattering on anyone. I like them either way, though, as far as close to the body (but not pulling tight like the ones in the picture) or slouchy. Slightly looser just always has a more laid-back feel, which is more attractive to me in general.

Chiming in to say I love the finish but am distracted by the way-too-thin model in the last panel. Is it just me?

More on topic: To my eye, skin-tight only looks good with a thickish fabric (so one doesn't see the delineation of the kneecap, for example).

I think slouchy looks more current - kind of like the metallic sweater from NAS that Denise got. Tight feels more like glam rock.

I'd say tight, more space age. Also because my silver skinnies that I got two years ago from Sass & Bide in Australia are relevant.

Body skimming!

I don't mind a little snug (that's how mine fit although I expect to cover my pear-rear!), but the model's are frighteningly snug like silver tights or leggings I don't think that's edgy.

I'm trying to remember where I saw a picture of a rocker style outfit with slouchy silver skinnies. Drat. I loved it.

Yes this model is shockingly thin.

Una, I think you could wear either style with panache. You have such nice legs, though, that I will pick skinny as my top choice.

I prefer fitted but not skin tight. Let me know if you find a pair that fit well. I got a pair of silver skinnies from Kohl's in my usual size. It had lots of folds, due to an odd mixture of both tightness and looseness / excess fabric. Angie advised sizing up. I did. The same problems were still there, and I could pull down the pants without unzipping or unbuttoning, which is saying something -- I have hips!

Wow, those skinnies are amazing. I'd think slouchy would be best. I WANT THEM. Una, quit posting all these amazing expensive clothes! (Just kidding, of course, but only kinda!).
