I've been out of town for a week, and while I was away, another pair of metallic mules arrived for me to try. I ordered the Sam Edelman mules below in silver and in rose gold. As chance would have it, my usual size 8 was available in rose gold but not silver -- silver was available in a half size up so I decided to try those too, but the silver 8.5 was definitely too big.

I had already brought home the Jeffrey Campbell silver woven mules (I posted about them a week or so ago here: https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....ns-i-found)
but I'm thinking the Sam Edelmans are slightly more secure on the foot since the vamp goes further back on the sides of the foot. It also looks slightly less slipper-ish. It's not quite as comfortable as the Jeffrey Campbells but I would try them around the house to see if they pass that test.

I was originally thinking of getting mules in silver, but the rose gold might be a happy accident. I have these older Jeffrey Campbell silver/holographic shoes that are still in very good shape -- maybe not as on trend but I think still current, but please step in and set me straight if I'm wrong about that. They are not incredibly comfortable, so I don't wear them often.

I also tried the Shelly's London silver mules here, and they're really cute, and not bad comfort-wise, but they're VERY shiny and not as casual looking -- I'm not seeing them as being quite as wearable with shorts and really casual outfits.

So far, the rose gold woven Sam Edelmans are winning out, but I have another couple of options arriving today (the Dolce Vita find below). I'll post pics later.

What do you think? I'm definitely up for adding a new pair of silver shoes and a new pair of rose gold shoes for summer, most likely one will be a mule, and one will be a sandal or slide. The rose gold Sam Edelman woven mules would certainly tick that box.

And are my old Jeffrey Campbell Deetz flats (in the custom Find and in the stock photo below) still fab enough? Or are they prime for an update?
