The Cat, the theme of the Heavenly Bodies exhibit was the influence of Catholicism on fashion. So there were quite a few crosses. What inspired me about the necklaces was that they were shorter than the current trend, chunky, gold, and very ornate with large pendants. The overall look feels fresh to me after years of wearing very long necklaces. From my point of view, the pendant wouldn’t have to be a cross. Thanks for your comments.
Dana, thanks! I am gradually getting rid of my heeled boots. The flat ones are so much more comfortable and add that slightly casual, tough element that I like.
