A big thank you to Inge for a lovely afternoon in Antwerp! We continued my quixotic quest for the perfect red stompy boots, with a stop in a yummy cafe where I could scarcely decide between all the treats & beverages. I loved seeing the central area of this interesting city. Inge was the perfect guide, of course, leading me past all the international chain stores to the smaller shops, some of them local, on the side streets.

We didn’t find my perfect boots, so instead of a shoe picture (yes, I’ve loved my loafers, but they are getting a little tired, as I am of them), you get a description of Inge looking very perky in her purple striped shirt and a blackberry puffy. The picture is of Antwerp’s main train station, which is stunning. So many buildings in Belgium are much older than what we typically see in Berlin, and they’re just mixed right in with everything else.
