A younger friend asked me what her partner should wear to his MBA program interview. The choices were:
Grey suit, black dress shirt, no tie
Grey suit with vest, white shirt, no tie
pants and shirt, no tie

I told her he should wear a suit and white shirt with necktie. If he gets into the program, a necktie is probably a good investment, right?
Did I give the correct advice or have men's fashion standards changed?
