Men's boots for a woman!

I've had so much help here and love to lurk! Thanks for all of your great ideas.

I have to buy a pair of boots. I have very large feet and have to purchase men's boots. For another reason, they have to be LOWA, which are a great brand (the women's boots are divine!) and I have to choose men's size 10.5 (yes, seriously... sigh)...

Things could be worse. Here is the LOWA boots website for men. Anything you see here as being FAB? My criteria - warm: I live in Canada. I deal with a lot of ice and some snow.

HI marija, What colour is your hair? If it is brown/black I'd go for a brownor black boot but if you are grey like me I love the light grey. Keep in mind I have absolutely no experience with living with ice & snow

Ok so a men's 10.5 translates to a woman's 12.5. I know ordering from Nordstrom is a bit difficult for Canadians. But I found these in a woman's size 13. I know some of our Canadian members swear by Blondo's.

Well, all of those boots are definitely in that land where functional objects go to be far, far away from fashion. But since you're restricted to only these, the LAAX II is pretty unobtrusive, and I think the Adamello II is cool in that, "futuristic bad-ass lady that kills aliens," kind of way.

Well I know that being in Canada you can't order from this link in the UK, but I am a huge fan of Sorel boots! They are super trendy, but also technical, with great grip, strong laces, and warm furry lining. You might be able to get them in bigger sizes in Canada, or in a men's version, but I especially like the Joan of Arc model. Good luck!

Too funny! Thanks for the help, but I am restricted. See, I have this HUGE foot which requires orthodics... from bad to worse right? The orthodics maker will provide the boots.

Now these aren't my, I want to look "FAB" boots, but my everyday, I'm going to shovel the snow and "kill aliens" in the process boots. Of all the boots, the "bad-ass lady" ones are the ones that I liked best too. The others looked too much like construction boots, but I wanted some input because they are expensive, even if they are free and as a mother of six kids in every activity known to man, I have to save money somewhere!

If anyone else has a thought, I'd be most grateful... (and I have brown/black hair!)

I don't know about orthotics but have you looked at Long Tall Sally

Thanks Sveta. I'm so limited right now. But Long Tall Sally has some great boots and wonderful shoes. I was devastated when they closed the store closest to me!
