Well, I'll throw a wrench in.... I have to admit that I like this outfit. I think the jacket is navy, and I love winter white and navy (or black) together. But to the trousers... Mind you, it would not look good on me, and such a low crotch point would inhibit my usual habit of high-speed walking, darting, and dashing about. However, if I just look at the outfit as styled, there is something pleasing about it, at least to my eye. The length and width of the boxy jacket is almost the same as that of the trousers from the waist line down to the crotch. Together they create a kind of 2/3 to 1/3 split on the body. And then, I notice that the dress next to it is virtually the same shape and length. Clever. To me, it works. Is it practical - No! But it's fun to look at and analyze why it could possibly work.
