ooooohhhhhhhhh, so so cute.
Great advice above.
I am a shoe replicator. My husband is a cat-things replicator. So we have half a dozen plush cat beds around the house, 2 scratching posts, and other scratch pads, toys everywhere. Our cats most prefer sleeping in boxes from Sam's or Costco - the low sided ones that fruit is packed in. We put a plush bed inside of one of those boxes on our screened porch.
Laser pointers are a lot of fun with cats. Great way to burn off kitten energy, too - they'll run and run. Anything that dangles is a toy.
I groom our cats every 2 weeks. A big, big second on the Furminator! One of our cats won't let me brush him with a traditional brush due to sensitive skin, but he tolerates the Furminator because you draw it with, not against, the fur. It's a life-changer! Also, I Dremel-drill their claws. I put the drill on the 2nd to lowest setting. Get one with a light at the tip. Even though we have indoor cats, they should be able to defend themselves if they sneak out so we would never de-claw them.
I love telling dog people who are going through the hell of puppy training about how you train a kitten.Bring in the kitten, put his feet in the litter box, and he is trained!
Enjoy your baby!
