I've bee so warmly welcomed back here, and many of you have wondered what's been going on in my life, so I guess it's time for an update.
For the last year, I've been buying/refurbishing/selling antiques. I rent space at a shop and am doing flea markets, and now I'm ready to take it from a hobby business to a real business, just not sure what exactly that will look like for me. Last Sunday my son and I did the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and it went very well. We'll be doing that again regularly, I think- and maybe more LA area flea markets.
The kids are good- my son is looking for a job (still not driving) and starting his last year of high school this fall. He's been taking classes at the local Junior College and will have some of his General Ed finished by the time he graduates (I still home school both kids). My daughter is less of my mini me and more of her own grown person now- she'll be starting high school in the fall. This is her last year of dancing- we just can't afford it anymore.
We're living in the same area as before, but a different city. I like it, but we'll probably be moving again in May when our lease is up. I am very recently separated from my husband, and we are still sort of figuring all that out. The marriage is over- no chance of getting back together, but separating the finances is tricky. I can't really work because of my back, but I don't have enough hours to qualify for disability. So, I'm starting a whole new chapter of my life and I wanted to make sure that YLF was a part of it.
