Me in a short bob

Confession time. So many of you recommend to cut my hair in a short bob. Well, I had that hair style couple of years ago (I don’t think that there is a hair style or hair color that I didn’t have) and unfortunately I didn’t find it flattering at all. Couldn’t wait to grow it back. Evidence attached.

I love it, too. But, you have to like it. What about going more shoulder length? Or, is that not enough of a change from your current length?

I suggest a bit longer and with a side parting or a fringe.

I'd do it a bit longer, choppier, and with a side part. Maybe not curled .

Love it! But you have to, as well. A side part works better (per your avatar photo), however. For now, why not get it shortened to just above your shoulders? When it doesn’t catch and divide against the shoulders, hair seems to always fall better. You will still be able to pull it back as well.

Why not look at hairstyles for the hair you have now, instead of killing yourself to make it sleek & straight?

love the shoulder length hair and the sleekness of it. the shorter bob was styled with a lot of volume which gives off a try-too-hard vibe for these athleisure days.

Your hair is wonderfully thick and lustrous! I think shorter too - I am almost thinking a little bit lop sided too.

I love Angie's suggestion. Side part for sure, though. You have gorgeous hair! I really like it in #1 of the last ones you posted, also.

Thank you all. I actually have terrible hair, very thin and limp, without much volume but with a frizzy texture. It is a daily struggle. Short was actually the easiest.

Another photo with the hair up so that you can try imagining it short. Don’t have any picture with the short hair on my phone.

I was thinking more just brushing shoulder length.

I may be alone in this, but I think a chin-length bob is really hard to carry off unless you have a great chin and jawline. Why I will never ever ever have a chin-length bob!

Sigh. I seem to always be out in left field on the forum, but I like it best in today's pic. I like long hair, so I guess I'm biased.
I'm not much for daily styling with a blow dryer/flat/curling iron myself, but most people have more skills and patience in that area.
If you decide to stay wavy, the site FashIntern posted has great info on fighting frizz in wavy and curly hair.
I do like the bob too!

yeah, I actually like your hair long as well. In general, I think gray or silver hair looks more purposeful when it is long. But you are not happy wiht it, so that's out.

I like Anchie's hair long too. I do like it shoulder length.
You have to be happy with it. I had a chin-length bob once. I hated it and grew it out immediately.

I do like long hair. What I don’t like is the texture that is very frizzy with feathery layers. And I don’t like the amount of effort and products I have to use to make it looks less unkept. I like wash and go hair styles and currently this is not it.
But I am checking the resources in Fashintern link - maybe there is a hope.

Is that Christine LeGard? She always looks flawless.

Anchie, what about Meryll Streep or Betty White's styles? They have both gotten curlier as they've aged, and tend to look quite tousled.
