I am putting up a few pieces for swap. If you need measurements or have questions let me know.

For reference:

I am 5'2, 32DD bra size, 27" waist, 35.5" hips, and 30"-31" inseam. But I am giving away a lot of these clothes because they are too small now, so anything marked size 26 will probably fit if you usually wear that size.

Hmm Maya, I've been kind of toying with the idea of getting an inexpensive pair of jeans that I can shorten into clamdiggers. So if you don't get any other bidders on the matchsticks, I could take them off your hands. I would feel kind of weird though about having them shipped all the way across the country for this malicious purpose.
By the way, what can you say about H&M denim and how it wears? Maybe that is a good option for my clamdigger plan.

Marianne, the Matchstick jeans would be perfect for you. They are cut too straight in the hip area for me. What you do when they get there is totally up to you. I wouldn't mind in the least if you had them shortened. I won't be able to wear them no matter what, so they could vanish into thin air and I wouldn't be disappointed.

The H&M jeans have actually held up quite well. I wore them a lot last winter but retired them in favor of the Express Mia jeans (which also don't fit me well, but are my only skinnies at the moment). I was surprised by how sturdy they were. If you want to try them first, you can pop in any H&M and try them (they are the SQIN style).

Thanks Maya, I'm planning to stop by H&M tomorrow and will take a look at the jeans. I never tried their denim. I don't want to stop anyone else from claiming the Matchsticks at this point, in case others may want to wear them unaltered.

Emily, the AT top is green and black. It fits but isn't really my personal style (I got it from someone else).

Thanks for the info. Two other questions: what material is the top? Is it stretchy?

Hi Emily. The shirt actually has no stretch. It's a woven top with a side zip. I usually can't wear woven tops because of my chest but I was able to wear it thanks to the zipper. I can't tell what the exact fabrication is because the inside label is cut off (I always have to cut off side labels because they make me itchy).

BTW I made a mistake. It is not a size small but a size 2. Sorry about that. I just assumed it was small because I always wear a small.

maya, you have lovely things! i know people have spoken for the matchsticks and UO dress but if for any reason those don't work out would you let me know? i'd also definitely like your BR straight legs (been trying to invest in a pair, but none seem to work for me!). are you looking for anything in particular in terms of clothing or accessories to swap for?

Hi Hanna,

I think Marianne said if someone else wanted the Matchsticks they could have them. I'll leave it up to you two to talk it over. She might end up taking the H&M jeans instead.

Just so you know, the BR straight legs have some whiskering on them. Not everyone prefers that so I just wanted to let you know. They are from BR's premium denim line so they are very good quality though.

I'm sorely lacking in accessories right now. I wear lots of short necklaces (long ones do funny things over my chest), scarves, and earrings. I'm open to any piece of clothing that works, though summer dresses are high on my priority list. We do not have to do a straight swap though.

i have LOTS of dresses and can't seem to stop myself from buying more, so when i get back from my trip (next weekend) i will dig through my pile and see if i can offer you anything! it's time i started weeding out things i don't wear enough anyway :).

i don't mind whiskering at all, and i'm sure marianne and i can work something out...

Take your time Hanna. I'm not in any rush. The BR jeans are yours if you want them. I didn't mean to say that whiskering is always bad, it's just that it doesn't show up in the picture so I wanted to make sure you know

I'm interested in the KensieGirl white clamdiggers but have no idea if a junior size 3 will work for me. I vary from a 26 to 27 or 2 to 4 in jeans, depending on the brand and fit. I also have jeans that fit well in Gap size 1. Who carries KensieGirl that maybe I can try them for size? My last years clamdiggers may be too big, but I haven't tried them on for several months.

Hi Joy. I am also a 26-27 or 2/4 as well and they fit me sort of strangely, but I think it's because I'm just sort of curvy all over and juniors sizes are cut for a straighter figure. There was some gaping in the waist and the back had these odd wrinkles that I think were a result of how my thighs are shaped. You are a rectangle, right? They will probably fit you better than they did me. This is how they looked from the back, which I didn't like:

I know Macys and Nordstrom carry Kensie but I am not sure about KensieGirl.

You are right that I'm a rectangle with a flat bottom. What is the fabric content? Any stretch? And what is the front and back rise and the inseam length?

Hanna, Maya is right and you absolutely can claim the matchsticks. I need a longer inseam so I only was considering them for clamdiggers.

I did go to H&M today and they must be running low on stock - the only sizes they had were 24 and 31. I dug out a distressed pair in 27 and I think 26 should be ok in this fit.

Oh, I forgot to mention this (to everyone): I have a cat whose fur knows no bounds. I will go over everything with a lint brush and make sure it's fur-free, but if you have allergies it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Joy: The front rise is 8", back rise is 11", and inseam is 17". 11" is too low in the back to accommodate my big butt so I think you'll probably have better luck. I don't remember the exact breakdown right now, but they are cotton, nylon, and spandex. They are definitely stretch. I would not be able to get non-stretch pants past my knees.

Maya, I'll get back to you. I think Dillards carries KensieGirl, but by the time I found out I had to leave the mall. Macy's only had regular Kenzie, but they looked like they ran small.
When I have tried Junior sizes they haven't been a good fit. Maybe it has something to do with body changes after childbirth. Anyway, it will be later in the week before I can try anything on. If anyone else is interested in the white clam diggers, you may take them. I have a feeling they will not be a good fit for me :o(
