Maxi Dress

Ladies, need some input in regards to pairing up a tank top w/maxi dress. Would it look funny if I tucked my tank top in like in the picture?

I kinda like it. It shows off you curves well. How about popping a belt round for extra definition?

Diane, I do like the idea of adding on a belt! Since the outfit is black and coral, what color belt would you recommend?

Is it a maxi skirt? It is body con--is that the goal? It might look more proportional to have a boxier short top over the slim skirt. What occasions is it for?

It is a well fitted maxi skirt. And I plan to lounge around in them--running errands, etc.

Hi BB, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I think either of the two shades in the outfit would be great. But how about adding a third colour into the mix? Say, for instance a cognac belt if you wore the same toned sandals or match belt to bag. White maybe? and keep footwear black., perhaps. Try playing around with colours a little. Metallics would be nice as well.
Unfrumped is right also, a shorter boxy to may be a good alternative too.
