Matt & Nat Bucket Bag

Have you bought a bucket bag lately? What do you look for in this type of bag or any bag style? I prefer a bag with a strap that is long enough to sling over the shoulder but not so long that the bag bounces around my hip when I walk. I like the functionality of an unstructured bag but gravitate towards the ladylike structured bags because of the clean lines.

Angie had a blog post about the renewed popularity a while back and I had already been thinking about getting one again. My last one was black and had more detail with metal woven into the strap and I wore it to death. I saw this one from Matt & Nat and think I am in love. I am linking the color Abyss but and the grape. What do you think of this bag and the colors? They feel a bit moody and almost neutral to me.

Matt&Nat makes beautiful bags. I think both colours look amazing, I'm glad I don't have to decide which one to buy.

Love these bags, I would have a hard time choosing a color. I bought a navy bucket bag from Talbot's last year and I use it quite a bit. It's a great size and shape for me.

Beautiful bags, Cheryle. I haven't had a bucket bag for a long time; the colors, shape and size of the one you found are all great. Too big of a bag and I spend a lot of time digging for my phone so I can turn on the flashlight and dig for something else.

Thanks for the introduction to the brand. I like the simple lines and the color palette. Fig and gravel could play nicely with my wardrobe. Sitting on hands...

I just received an email from them this morning about their new grape color! It is divine! I couldn't stop looking at it! I've never used a bucket bag. Do you have anything from them? They make wonderful bags. Both colors would be versatile like you say. Did I mention I love the grape?

Donna, my last bucket was Matt and Nat and I have a few others as well. They are very nicely made bags. The last one was black and had metal twisted with the material for the strap and after almost daily wear for a year or more, the material strip came loose. It did its duty and more. The grape is lovely but the blue/grey may be more versatile. I am lazy and rarely change out bags.

I also bought a deep yellow faux suede for my mom and she wore it for ages and it still looked great.

Nice bag. What's kept me from buying bucket bags is that they are usually big. But otherwise I've been eyeing one for quite some time.

Smashing colors! I'm so glad they're back and looking fresh. Angie pointed a deep green one out to me at Zara last year: it's been such a workhorse that it's at the shoe repair right now. And over the summer I added a miniature one in cognac. My vote is for that divine neutral Abyss.

That's a beautiful bag, the shape and size look perfect. I was attracted to a bucket bag recently and its clean lines were really appealing.

I would have a hard time choosing a color as they are all very nice. Please let us know what you decide!

Beautiful bag! I like both colors, but I think I have a preference for the navy, although the black is probbly more versatile.
