If you were wearing a strand of pearls for a casual look, would you wear matching pearl earrings or something else?

I'd wear something else, but I don't think it's a total fashion blunder if you wear matching earrings. I think it's just a personal taste thing.

Lately I've been really enjoying my diamond studs with my simple strand of pearls.

But I am not at all averse to matching jewelry when the occasion calls for it.

I'll only wear them together if they are a perfect match. Otherwise, I like MaryK's suggestion of diamond studs or no earrings at all.

I think I've been influenced by Angie, as I've taken to not wearing earrings when I wear a necklace, and vice versa. But if I did wear earrings with a pearl necklace, I'd keep them simple and understated and not matching.

I wear earrings daily and necklaces often and rarely match my pearl earrings with my single-strand pearl necklace. But that's my not wanting to match; I usually pair my hoops with the single-strand pearl necklace, and (nearly) always have diamond studs in my 2nd slot

Because I design and make most of my jewelry, my earrings and bracelet are usually made of the same mineral stone beads with different shapes and sizes for interest. I always wear a sterling silver necklace.

But when I wear my pearl choker, I always wear the matching earrings!
