massimo dutti jacket--last effort,calling all in Europe

Okay ladies, I have an even bigger favor to ask, and I am putting massive trust in all of you(as you would me, if this happens).
I am having one last ditch effort to get this jacket I loved so much, but is now sold out in most stores since it went on sale. It should be under 100 pounds/euros at this time.
This is the leather jacket I am seeking, navy blue long sleeve moto style, in size SMALL:

If you find it, please let me know.If you are willing to do all this and mail it to me, I will send you the money for the jacket and postage(plus extra for your trouble) via Paypal so you get it quickly. If not, I will get over my sadness eventually and keep this as a tough lesson learned...

PF, I put out a similar plea some time back for the famous coral trench from H&M. It had been months since Angie posted about it on the blog and had been sold out for ages in the States, so I wasn't holding my breath, but lo and behold, Thunalata not only found it for me, but traveled quite a distance to pick it up and ship it to me! So don't give up! These ladies are fabulous.

Obviously I can't help, but I hope someone else can!

I feel kind of ridiculous about this whole near-obsession.My poor husband, who is quite wonderful, could not believe I was still vexed with myself and thinking about this jacket now over a month since saw it. It is only clothing after all, right? "stuff" as my mother in law calls it. But for all the wrong and right reasons, that blue jacket made me feel fabulous, young and fab. And if I can afford to make myself feel that way while I am doing productive things in life, why the heck not?
Keeping my fingers crossed, and thanking you all for your efforts even if this all comes to nought...you are indeed fabulous!

Thanks so much! I called the three you mentioned since those were close by to you. If you have time to check the others I would so appreciate it, but please don't take time out of your workday for me! The ones on Oxford,Regent and Crossing were all out The jacket is now about 90 pounds so it is fast disappearing. I need a SMALL ideally but would take a medium as well if they have it

I know the jacket is sitting in a store Barcelona but I don't know anyone there, and they won't mail it to me form the store(I spoke to them this morning)so that is a lost cause...Still hoping for a small miracle!

I have tried a couple more and no luck - the Canary Wharf store said that Regent Street and Oxford Street where the only two stores with any sort of sale stock still in. Frustratingly, they can't actually check on the system to see whether it is available in any stores because apparently the computer system only deals with stock checks for current (in this case autumn/winter items).

Sorry.

I would check on Ebay to see if it turns up.

I'll be near a MD tomorrow and will go in to see if they have the jacket PF. With all our combined efforts, this has to work, right!

HI LK--thanks so much for all your effort! I really appreciate it. I know, they told me about that bothersome issue about not being able to check other stores' stock. How unfortunate. I will be keeping a close eye on ebay as you suggest.Hopefully it turns up there.There is one light jacket on there right now but not the one I would like to have.

Inge, thanks for taking a peek tomorrow! I am still trying to figure out ways to get this jacket myself too.It would have been great if the store in Barcelona would ship it to me. How I WISH MD had online shopping!!!

Hi PalmFronds, just want to let you know I am rooting for you. I have kept a close eye on MD this summer near me but never saw that jacket, so I can't help from here. Maybe you should try phoning/emailing higher up the chain of command? If it doesn't work out, I suggest keeping an eye on the new collection from Comptoir des Cotonniers. They have a similar color aesthetic and beautiful things. They also have stores in the US!

I checked out that website Scarlet and they do have some divine stuff, even jackets close to the one I am hunting right now. I'll have to run into one of their stores next time I am in NY
I am canvasing everyone I know where there is a MD store,including a friend in Germany and and my cousin in Dubai--there has to be this leather jacket in Small available somewhere still!!!
My sweet husband thinks I am going insane...

Ah some call it tenacity, some call it insanity

I am hoping the jacket turns up somewhere but now I have so many friends and family helping me I just hope 5 people don't call me and say "I got it!"
If this all comes to nought, I will
1)learn my lesson about missed opportunities
2)be thankful I have so many friends and family to help out, for big and "small things"
and
3)keep hunting for another jacket just like this one!!!

Thanks so much for checking for me! Gosh you ladies are really marvelous, thanks so much for your help. I am bummed but hoping it somehow turns up still. I am waiting to hear from a cousin in Dubai and am also in contact with the company to see if they could possibly transfer the jacket from one location to another so I could then have someone pick it up there--why not, right?
Lots of work and woman-power for a little jacket--I think if I could put this much effort into everything I do, I could possibly secure world peace!
