I'm on a mascara hunt.
Must be
OK for sensitive eyes
Waterproof as it always seems to end up in smudges under my eyes
Easy to remove as i hate scrubbing it off
Don't mind cost but the cheaper the better
Any ideas?
Ooo and it has to be available in the UK

Edit and preferably not tested on animals
I think i'm going to fail miserably with this list of wants!!!!

I don't know if this is available in the UK, but I have been using L'Oreal Double Extend Waterproof, and I quite like it. It's very gentle, but stays put. Washes off easily, and it's inexpensive (especially when it's buy one get one half off and you use two coupons).

Have you considered "tube" mascara? I've found that they don't run anywhere near as much as regular mascara, so you can use one that isn't waterproof, which is easier on your lashes and much easier to remove. My favorite is the Trish McEvoy Volumizing mascara, but the price tag is hefty - $25/bottle so probably even more there in the UK. I've been trying to branch out to save costs since I replace my mascara every three months, but this is my favorite because of how it removes - no raccoon eyes! I think L'Oreal makes one now, too, although I'm not sure of their testing practices.

I use this pretty much exclusively. It stays put till you remove it with lots of very warm water.

I work 10 hour shifts, and when I'm outside in slightest hint of wind I tear up. This stuff doesn't budge.
I've tried everything from drugstore to department store level.

I discovered Avon's Waterproof Washoff almost 15 years ago and have never used anything else since. LOVE IT! A little bit of smudging by the end of the day, but nothing severe, and it washes off with my face cleaner.

Great! Blinc is the classic one. I hope you like it! Wonderful you were able to get a sample as some people love the tubes and others really dislike them. Let me know what you think.

Rimmel makes some really good mascaras and IIRC, it's a UK brand.

I also love Max Factor 2000 Calorie.

I use the Blinc and swear by it. It never smudges. Ever. Ever. But it's not super easy to remove.

The Physicians Formula brand is especially made for people with sensitive skin and eyes. No fragrances, or allergens, or irritants. And it contains soy for moisture. The price is about $6.00 US for their waterproof mascara.

The company is environmentally friendly and does not test on animals.

Finally, I wear waterproof mascara when it is very humid or might rain. Otherwise, I use a coat of Physician's Formula Organic mascara and a coat of the waterproof mascara over it and I do well with it. (remember that if you use eye cream, mascara is more likely to smudge, too. )

don't have any suggestions for you except that whenever I need to figure out what to buy in the area of cosmetics/ beauty, i always check out the website http://www.makeupalley.com where thousands of "regular" women write reviews of the products they use. I find it unbelievably helpful.

I love Max Factor mascaras- excellent quality, at the very top of the drugstore range, imo. 2000 Calorie is good but I really like Masterpiece or Masterpiece Max for added "oomph".

Hands down my first recommendation is L'Oreal Voluminous. This gets thumbs up from many makeup artists, and it's under $10. Great coverage, doesn't flake off, waterproof, and easy removed with eye makeup remover.
I currently wear MAC Zoomlash (because it makes my lashes SO long), and when I splurge I get Dior Diorshow.

L'Oreal and Max Factor test on animals though. The only major companies in the US that I know of which don't test are Revlon, Almay and Avon. So when I go to the drugstore I just stick with Revlon. I use their Fabulash mascara and it works well.

I was under the impression that only Cover Girl tested on animals. Do you have a link where I can find the information on the other companies?
