Do these pants qualify as "Slouchy Skinnies" and does the "tuck" work without a belt?

H&M Blush pleather jacket

How do you define slouchy skinnies as these are dropped in the crotch 2" and still has slim legs. Marley awaits your answers.

I'd say they're slouchy. But they may be too slouchy. I think the tuck would look better with a dark colored belt, but without the belt works as well.

Marley says thanks & added that there are NO belt loops, which makes this a problem.

Ack! Wish I was there with you both! First of all, Marley looks amazing in this light creamy blush shade from head to toe! Love the moto; it's just fabulous.

The skinnies look really good to me. I guess you could semi tuck if you wanted to. Is that a high-low hemline on the top? She looks fabulous!

I like the way these look. However I find the pants that are constructed purposely to be slouchy work better on me than to size up. I think this is because I'm an hourglass. If I were built more like Marley who frankly is built like a model, I could do the sizing up trick.

I think they do! They are looser in the seat but slimmer in the legs.
I would prefer tuck with the belt but if there are no belt loops I thing it should work as well...unless she needs a belt to keep them on because of the slouch

How is the length, do you need to hem? If so then belt loops can be made from that fabric. My mom added loops to my grey wide legs from the pocket fabric...
I think belt without the loops is not comfortable, it will ride up from the pants every time you sit down and you would have to adjust it. It would drive me crazy!

I love the concept! Half tuck works.

Am I the only one who thinks that the front rise is too high for the narrow hip width of the pants? There is something not right about the fit. I think it's that.

They certainly look like slouchy skinnies to me and Marley looks fantastic in the head to toe light colors. I think there is something funny about the fit in the first picture (profile looks great) but it may be how she is standing?

Wow, Marley, you look amazing in this style. I defer to the fit experts, but I want you to have slouchy skinnies!!!

By the way, I am a slim (fairly straight) hourglass and I have not had success with the sizing up route. Like Denise I do better in pants designed to be slouchy skinny.

Hi Everyone - I just got home for the day and am now reading your feedback. I agree now that I see the frontview pic that there is something weird about the fit - and Angie you may be right - that the front rise is too high. I'm too tired to try them on tonight - so will give it another shot tomorrow and put them on again and post some pictures that focus more on that area, OK? Thank you again for your help - and oh, BTW - Vicki's hair is *cute* - nothing like she has led us to believe over the last couple of days!

I love the colours Marley's wearing. And yes, I'd call this slouchy; yes, I think a half-tuck would work --- but I'm not sure why, something about the depth of the rise vs the length of the legs is feeling just a little off to me in terms of proportions. Would that change with a lower shoe height instead of booties, I wonder? Or blousing the shirt a bit more over the waistband?

I returned the pants today. This morning I considered taking off the waistband - because then the rise would be perfect. But, I really don't trust my sewing skills - I'm great at ripping things apart, but not so good at putting them back together - so, back to the store they went. I'm bummed, because I really wanted to wear a head-to-toe blush outfit, but haven't seen any other affordable pants! Thanks for all of your input everyone!

I'm late but I think you made the right decision to return the pants. To my eye they just didn't look like they fit properly. Those colors on you however, are just gorgeous.
