Hi Isabel! Thanks for asking -- means a lot to me! My mom is doing a lot better. Her health is fine (100% full recovery) but she's still struggling with her mobility. 6 weeks in bed, plus being so extremely sick and on a ventilator for 2 weeks, really affected her muscles. She's receiving physical therapy and has made great progress. She was using a wheelchair in the beginning but now the chair has been retired to the garage and she's only using a walker, and occasionally trying to walk 100% independently. Her goal is to come visit us for Thanksgiving! So things are moving in the right direction!
I am so glad to know that ! Boy, what a haul for your mom and the whole family. She inspires me, it takes so much dedication to recover from such trauma to one's body. The fact that she is trying to get around without the walker is so brave. She is one tough lady.
Send her my well wished. I often think of her and how she is doing.
More well-wishes to her from Canada. I'm so delighted that she's recovering so well. The process may be slower than she would like, but it's still going remarkably well!
