Hi Pil,

There's an great article in this week's Sports Illustrated about the 25th anniversary of the Princeton/ Georgetown game. My brother played for Princeton in that game and it was fun to read his interview and see old pics. Such a David and Goliath story! That is what makes the tournament great! (imo)

Today at work I mentioned March Madness and not one other person in the meeting (4 women and 1 man) knew what it was! They didn't know what the NCAA was, or what a tournament is.... they're very up on TV shows though.

I just came back from a basketball party. I wore a mesh tank under a long sleeve fitted team tee with bootcut jeans. March Madness is a family event for us. We have a big bracket pool. It's really the only time I watch basketball. The close games are exciting!

My son is hitting all his predictions. I still cannot believe that HARVARD can play ball. It still cracks me up.

LACeleste, I'll have to look for that article online. How exciting for your family to have been a part of that. I do love an underdog - unless they are playing against my school which is one of the Goliaths. The David/Goliath matchup I most remember is NC State vs Houston aka Phi Slamma Jamma. NC State was victorious.
Adelfa, as commercial as the tournament has become it's hard to believe there are people who don't know what it is!
Jeanie, your family bracketology sounds like fun. As far as dressing for the occasion about all I do is pull out my team sweatshirt or wear the school color.
Isabel, the Harvard coach's last team was the University of Michigan!

PIL , no way !!!!' Well THAT explains why my husband and son were so pumped up for Harvard. They know every, single sports person with Michigan ties. I should have suspected. It also explains why Harvard is doing so well. But I am stunned !!! WHAT propelled a MI coach to come to Harvard ? Harvard football is also picking up some team. Let me guess, there is someone from MI involved, it better not be anyone from Ohio ! LOL .
