Mannequin inspiration

I LOVE this mannequin at J Crew: paisley blouse, mint v neck sweater, houndstooth blazer, leopard belt, jeans, yellow bag. Fashionably hectic!

Oh, I like it too. Not too sure about the mint sweater but I would wear the rest in a heartbeat.
Which tells me that I may need a houndstooth blazer...

That is a wonderful outfit. I tried that houndstooth blazer (if it's the schoolboy style) on for fun. I loved the look of the blazer but it was rather stiff and itchy.

Well, I lack the exact pieces but I'm definitely thinking of ways I could layer using my cobalt/white knit blazer and create a similar vibe.

Joy, agreed on the blazer-the quality is unimpressive and it's quite an itchy material.

Julie, I am the "Man Down" today. Too much standing (my feet don't hurt when we walk, just from the long periods of standing around) and I'm wiped out! Hope there aren't long lines at Disneyland tomorrow!

I like that first photo minus the button down underneath. I would add a scarf instead. Just yesterday I bought a similar belt and blazer to my closet so appreciate the idea for how to wear them. I never dreamed of putting them together but I like it!

I'm glad my idea is a good one. I guess my blazer is closer to tweed than houndstooth but it's a gray tweed so it's kinda the same idea.

Great inspiration Kari - thanks for sharing. I used to have a navy/white mini houndstooth blazer, many years ago and I always got compliments on it. This one is much more current. Can't wait to see your new outfits!
