I dropped by the mall yesterday and I took a different route than I usually do, so I strolled through JCPenney. And lo and behold, I stopped at the Mango section (imagine screeching tires!). Wow, this was my first experience with Mango and I was pretty impressed.
I tried on some blouses, and they actually fit me like a glove (small bust with average shoulders and long arms), which was a very nice surprise (and in great contrast with BR shirts, which disappointed me yet again). I didn't see any interesting pants except these microchecks http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X.....atId=70656|80999
(unfortunately they seem to hit at that unflattering cropped length). I finally saw the elusive Euro microcheck!
Mostly neutrals, nautical themes, 70s patterns, stripes, sadly not much color except one blouse in mustard and some pretty reds, exotic themed bold jewelery, cute scarves and bags. Overall a good mix of very casual and smarter clothes, knits and wovens. Everything was 20% off, and I also saw a coupon at the checkout. If I have time soon, I may go back there.
When I got home I checked out their website and I'm even more intrigued about this brand. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for more from Mango. I miss Euro styling.
ETA: and for those looking for natural fibers - lots of reasonably priced cotton wovens. For example I spotted a cotton pique shirt dress (in navy and tomato red).
