Mango?

anyone have any experience with Mango? quality? sizing?

I've been looking for a lightweight black bomber, something that I could wear in the summer to keep the AC at bay, something that would look ok at work, and go with many different outfit. I came across this one from Mango, but other than see them on some fashion bloggers sites, I don't really know anything about them.

Mango used to be much more interesting and better quality about 10 years ago. I've seen some nice pieces this season, but quality can vary a lot from piece to piece. Items tend to look better online than in reality. Sizing for tops makes sense, but trousers' sizes are all over the place.
I would say jackets and tops are their better products, but as I already mentioned quality can vary a lot.

I shopped in several Mango stores when I was in Spain a year ago. I was very favorably impressed with their styles, but the execution was something else. Poor quality fabrics (sweaters pilling while still on the shelf or rack.) Coats with skewed linings and wandering topstitching. Too bad the brand cannot turn out better quality garments. That said, it is definitely Spanish fast fashion like Forever 21 and H&M so I guess you get what you pay for.

And in 100% agreement with Tisa. MNG used to be FABULOUS about ten years ago.

While some MNG pieces can be so-so (think tissue thin tshirts much like Zara), I have really good experience with Mango.
I have ALOT of MNG dresses. Unlike Zara, they do a lot of formals - trousers, skirts, dresses, formal tops and blazers.
I have at least of one of these pieces. The quality is FAR superior to anything Zara makes. Some dresses are over 4-5 years old and still look amazing. I wear their cotton trousers a lot in summer and they wear very well.

I would say the sizing can be tricky. Tops are not always true to size.....sometimes they can be cut large. Read the sizes on website; those are generally accurate.
You can order a size smaller & your true size to compare.

I have a blue with grey pinstripe double breasted but sleek wool topper, to the knee, that is beautifully well made. Lined, soft, magnet closure. I stalked it after seeing it on Happily Grey style Blog. Love her style. I think I found it shipped from Italy? Had to have it. This was three years ago? High quality well made.

I've bought several things from Mango's goes-to-plus line, Violeta, and been pleased. The quality is good for the price and the ordering and returns process has gone smoothly.

I have shopped at Mango in Bogota. The quality is not as good as it used to be. Unfortunately, this is happening with many brands.

I find it even more unpredictable than Zara in terms of fit and quality but there are occasional gems.
