Maneera made me do it: H&M motos. Opinions please.

I tried on two faux leather moto jackets at H&M today. I think they are the ones Maneera was looking at. One is more cropped, and has more shaping on the back. The other is a bit bigger through the shoulder and longer.

For sizing reference, I tried on one size larger in the more cropped one, and went with my true size in the second one.

I like the shaping of the first, the length of the second. Do you like either? Keep looking altogether?

Pics 1-2 shorter jacket. Don't think I could zip comfortably.
Pics 3-6 longer jacket. Would mostly wear open.

Oh wow, you are killing it! I like both, but the second one has a more relaxed feel so I think I prefer that one.

Oh yes!!!! I think I was right...the 2nd jacket does look kind of awesome on you! The first jacket you're wearing here is the one I bought And yes....its shorter.

Actually I just read that you like the shape of #1 more. I don't really see a problem here if you intend to only wear the jacket open. Though it's a bit short, you can always wear a longer top underneath. The jacket will only look a bit odd zipped all the way up.

On the other hand, the 2nd jacket looks really really good zipped up too.

These both look nice, cute jackets. I think I like the cropped one best but I guess it would depend on how you plan to wear it.

I like them both on you, they fit you really well. I have a slight preference for #2 as the longer length is a bit unusual.

I'm leaning toward the longer one, as it was more comfy too. I'm tired of regretting buying too small jackets that constrict when I move my arms and shoulders.

I think I'll run back over and do one more try on. What I liked about the shorter one was it's a bit more refined with the lines and shaping seams along the back, but I don't generally like shorter jackets for their proportion. This jacket will carry me through all but the coldest days in my short winter season.

I went back. The shorter jacket is definitely not comfortable enough for me. Too confining. I do like the Maneera pick and I got it. Thanks for thinking of me.

Yay! I'm glad I could be of help That jacket really looks amazingly cool on you! I plan to wear the heck out of mine this winter. I think our weather must be quite similar....a jacket this weight is good for me over a thin pullover for all but the coldest days in winter.

And cheers to H&M! I didn't think I'd ever buy a biker jacket there! But it *did* happen and I'm quite happy with my choice. And seems like you are too!

I have a thing for cropped jackets, but I'm happy to hear you went with the one that was more comfortable! I think they both looked great. Sometimes it comes down to just going with your gut.

I agree our weather sounds similar. I never would have seen it since H&M isn't in my usual rotation. I've always loved a black leather jacket. This may not be real leather, but it gives the same vibe. I look forward to seeing you wear yours.

Thanks Kaelyn - I do like cropped jackets on others. In fact, many years ago I had a cropped black leather jacket too. But I went with comfort here. If I wore anything but a light tee, I couldn't have made a go of the cropped one.
