Man jeans found -- thanks to all for recommendations!

We went with the Levis 514 Slim Straights and they're perfect! I ordered two sizes in two washes each and we picked the best ones, returned the rest, and ordered another pair of the keepers.

SO particularly liked the way the Inky Blue wash has a dark label on the waist instead of the usual Levis tan label. Interesting how Levis can get men to post their jean size on the outside for all the world to see...

Awesome! I didn't see the other thread, but my dh (who is younger than me and quite slim) also loves the Levi's slim straights. I also appreciate them on him :).

Isn't that funny, I always wondered why men didn't care you could see the jean size on their waistbands. Yay to finding jeans!

Thank you so much for this follow-up. I also needed to find slightly better jeans for my DH last fall and I decided to give the Levi's 514 Slim Straight a try first due to tons of positive online reviews - ordered online from Amazon, as it's pretty much impossible to get my husband into an actual store. Anyway, they worked out beautifully - way better than his old Lee's, that's for sure.

Guess what? Just got back from a trip to SF Bay area, and I was looking at men and their jeans, and a lot of them were wearing the Levi's 514's! With nice jackets, shirts and gorgeous shoes.

Thanks for the extra tip about the Inky Blue wash ...

I need to get more of these for my DH - just that because it's been so hot, weekend wear has been shorts all summer. It's about time for jeans again.
