I almost did it - no shopping February ended today for me, 2 days before the calendar
I went shopping to our big mall - Yorkdale. I spent there about an hour and went to 4 stores.

Massimo Dutti - moved to a new location within the mall after renovation. Looks very nice, the same vibe as MD’s stores in Europe.
I’m interested in spring/summer shoes but they are not there yet.

Club Monaco - sad looking place with limited inventory. Looks like they are done Very unfortunate.

Banana Republic - nice, big store. I was trying to identify what the inventory reminds me and then I thought - JCrew! Somehow this is what I felt browsing the items. Not my thing but I scored a cashmere sweater at a really good sale price - paid $80 plus tax!

Aritzia - looked like heaven for young women, very busy and normally, I would turn around and leave but I was determined In November I tried a pair of jeans whole buying a coat and wanted to revisit it. I’m obsessed with these jeans, at least for now. Looks longer on me and more relaxed as I sized up. I kind of missed the more classic cut with longer inseam. But I will sit on it and try again in a few days. Style - Denim Forum Farrah, Hi-Rise Wide. Price is acceptable, too.

Many are taking a break in January-February. Are you planning to shop in stores and what is on your wish list?

Those look like good jeans for you - pretty basic style and should be easy to wear. I bought an alpaca sweater and cropped wool pants from MD earlier this month - have worn both pieces twice now and am happy with them. On-line obviously as we don't have a store here. I've also purchased 2 woven linen sleeveless tops from Gap (one in black, the other in red) for work this summer .

Our Club M closed last year and I think the whole chain is winding down. I really miss it.

Other than that I haven't been in a store other than to "help" my husband buy a pair of jeans. The weather is still ridiculous here so I'm not really motivated yet. My main goal for spring/summer is to find some 7 inch inseam athletic-ish shorts and perhaps a new pair of workout /walking shoes .

The jeans look like nicely cut and good deal on the sweater. MD seems to have more wearable pieces than COS lately from what I have gathered (I see them as direct peers). We have both stores here but I find them off putting in person. But of course I am not much of a retail shopper, I go in for investigative purposes .

It's interesting that the new-look BR reminds you of J.Crew! It reminds me of COS and & Other Stories.

Club Monaco used to be SUCH a great store! It pulled out of Seattle last year. Makes me sad that a brand which at one point had exceptional inventory, cannot recover. Aritzia has taken over, IMO. Aritzia is very popular with Gen Z here in the US!

I have ordered some boots online but they are yet to arrive. However I am planning to look at some shops tomorrow. I am keen for new jeans and a shirt/top etc... I have edited out a few pieces over summer, mostly due to wear, and I am feeling in need of a refresh.

I bought two items in January,(see below) and February just ended up being a ‘no buy’ month.

I’m sitting on my hands whilst waiting for spring (hopefully April.) I’m trying to figure out what I want to look like this spring - and think I need to add/update my outerwear. I saw a lot of cognac/light blue/white outfit combinations on display at the Oshawa Mall that looked really fresh - so maybe a chambray button down, white or cream denim bottoms, and a faux suede cognac jacket to mix with what I already have? I’m also looking hard at my swim kit and want new training suits - some fun prints instead of the conventional black Speedos.
