After waiting over a week, I finally got my Stuart Weitzman boots in the mail in a half size smaller.

Only they were not the right boots!

They were these monstrosities.

I'm so utterly disappointed. Now not only are the Hammer boots out of stock, so are the other two styles I would have bought in their place

I guess I just wasn't meant to have a pair of OTK boots.

What the heck!!! They sent the wrong boot? Call them immediately, Just because they are sold out on line doesn't mean they are unattainable!!!

Yes, they sent me thigh high boots...though on my short frame they are more like crotch high. I tried them on just for giggles and I did indeed giggle. Then I scowled.

I almost got these and probably would have if they didn't offer to order the SW's for me:

Now they are long gone. The pair I tried were literally the last pair of those boots in the entire country.

I'll try calling tomorrow, but I don't hold out much hope. To be honest this whole process has been so maddening all the enthusiasm I had built up for this look has been utterly deflated.

Angie, I went to DSW recently because I have $20 rewards certificate, but none of the styles I liked would have fit me.

Ohhhhh, that's maddening.

At the risk of adding to your extreme frustration... there were Hammers at the Rack last week. So sorry -- I didn't realize you were looking. But maybe that means Nordstrom can get ahold of them somehow?

Still no luck Rae, but thanks for trying. I need a 6.5.

So, I really love these boots. They are similar in both fit and style to the Hammers, and they are waterproof. LC is usually a good brand for me too.

I wonder if they would give them to me for the same price since it was their mistake...? I lost out on 3 different boots because of this!

I like those LCs! My guess is they won't give them to you at the same price, but I absolutely think you should ask. It's not an unreasonable request.

The LC's are beautiful. I have seen them. KILLER in fact. Maya, you have champagne taste with a beer budget

I was going to suggest Report boots. I was in their store today (Seattle based company) and you had luck with their ballet flats.

That's still too $$$ for me, Rae. Even at a discount, they're more than what I paid for my SW boots. I need them to come down at least another $60. I'm going to ask Nordstrom about the LC's. Can't hurt. It's their fault, and it IS Nordstrom. You never know.

Maybe Marianna will chime in. It's nice to have an insider!

Angie, have you seen any Report boots that you think fit the bill? I don't see a single pair that would work. All of them have either ultra high spike heels, are too big in the shaft, or both.

The Via Spigas were only $179. I wish I had bought them.

If the boots are at the Rack, I'd call your local Rack and ask them to run a merch search. Give them the .com item number and they'll be able to tell you if they're available anywhere. If so, they will ship them to you for $10. Tell them your maddening story and they'll probably waive the shipping fee.
