My little piggies are blanketed in all sorts of glitz and glamour this season! Overall, I feel a bit adrift with my style direction, but there are a few plans that I'm implementing, while I wait for refreshing breezes to move my style ship forward!
1. My hair: I've finally found a fabulous and affordable stylist. Her cut allowed my own wave to shine, and put the fullness (I have very thick, but kind of fine, hair) in just the right place. She says it will take one or two more cuts to reach my final shape. I can tell a big difference already!
2. Bits of Boldness: I have always been willing to go bold, but I'm not feeling it as much now. I'm still not sure whether it's a crisis of confidence, or a style shift. Also, I work in a field and live in a community in which boldness is unusual, and perhaps a bit suspect. While I work this out, I have transferred the party to my............
FEET!
The shoes in the finds below are all in my closet. I meant to choose between the Tahari flats and the DSW booties, but the truth it they are both fairly practical for me -- I need shoes that add style, while being easy to get on and off (going into people's houses all day), and easy to walk in while carting a ton of instruments.
And 10 years ago, all my shoes, I swear, were black.
