Debs, brunettes wear ALL blues well :). To my eye the lighter blue is more fresh and youthful - the darker blue more expected. FWIW!

Una, that is wicked awesome! They nailed the accent and I died when that baseball cap kept switching from NY to the Sox, lol!

Angie, that makes perfect sense. I have to tell you that Mr. Debora prefers the lighter version. Thanks for chiming back in!

Wooohooo! High five, Mr. Deb!

Hmm, I didn't notice an accent when I met you. Mine (the valley girl) comes and goes and some people notice it a lot more than others.

My husband is a singer, and picks up accents super quickly. He is a native Bostonian but doesn't really normally have a Boston accent. But he picks it up when he talks to other people who do have the accent, and he also picks up a British accent (he spent a couple of years at school in the UK) when talking to Brits or, actually, when watching British TV or movies. It cracks me up.

Diana, I just caught up on all my Downton Abbey and I've caught myself actually "thinking" in a British accent, lol.

Diana, so funny about your husband. Some people have a knack for accents and soak them up like sponges. I didn't pick up on Valley Girl when I met you. Now that I think about it, I think the award for most endearing accent must go to our Angie. I could have listened to her all day!

Kristin, I bet you'll be dreaming in a British accent next!

I like the blue too!

I prefer the lighter one. The darker one looks too much like denim patchwork to me.

Debora, I am the one with what I think is the same wallpaper, probably why I notice it so much. You have excellent taste

Deb:D An Indian from a region close to Madras(Or Chennai as it is called now)
I normally don't like the Madras print coz it reminds us of the lounge clothes that men wear at the villages see link

But I love both of this so much that I am contemplating the shipping cost to Norway... I like the lighter color on you more than dark But would buy both in a heart beat

they both look wicked good, (another new england native girl -- anyone else love the hopper commercials), but i like the lighter one best.
i haven't felt the pull of the madras this year, but i admit that i still have a pair of espadrilles

Fun thread Deborah! I'll be at the Cape next week with my people (my family and the preppys) Looking forward to Lobstah rolls and Chowdah!

I think the Southie Boston accent (think Affleck boys in Good Will Hunting) use wicked alot.

Glad you are sorted and my most comfortable summer shoes are espadrilles (wedges no less). I'm hunting for flat ones now and contemplating the Liberty print ones at Lord & Taylor.

Marley and Zap, thanks!

Joy, I think it's you with the excellent taste. I usually just follow in your footsteps!

Ramya, the dress keeps selling out and then coming back into stock, especially the petite sizes. I have it in a size 4 Regular. I'm not sure which one I'll be keeping yet, but let me know if you want the other. I would be happy to send it you.

KKards, I haven't worn espadrilles in years, but I have always loved them. I need to put them on my shopping list.

Jeanne, lobster rolls and chowdah at the Cape! am so jealous. Have some fried clams for me, but make sure they are the ones with the bellies!
