So I’ve been eyeing the Madewell sale online.
Today between meeting a friend for brunch & later another social event, I stopped at the Madewell downtown.
Honestly I didn’t expect stuff in my size, but at least check a few things out.
This store is smaller than the mall ones around here
I liked these wide leg velveteen pants in a pale blue-grey, they’re very soft & stretchy. This is a 32”, I’d say they run large or it’s just the stretch. They’re also very thin, and seem to be very prone to wrinkles. The store hadn’t steamed these. Also the belt loops were sewn in below waistband. Given thin fabric, one good tug and I’d predict they’d rip. Honestly the thin fabric was the deal breaker. Yeah I got a tummy, but my leggings are more substantial.
The star sweater is merino wool, in XL. I’m not one to be concerned about itchiness, but for merino wool it’s pretty damn rough. Like did they get the sheep that were lost in drought conditions. Plus boobs happen, but this tenting is just bad.
Lastly what I wore.
Pendleton cotton cardigan, old Madewell striped tee, Costco leggings, & mud splattered rain boots that I keep wearing in the rain in hope that the mud will eventually wash off
