Madewell BF shorts - anyone tried them on?

I was looking at replacement white shorts. https://www.madewell.com/madew.....~1%202%203 I know my window for finding shorts, let alone white, is small before only fall stuff will be available! Has anyone tried these before? Reviews say to size down, but any BF fit seems to elicit this response. Any fabbers tried them and can say just how bf-y they truly are? TIA

I have those in the railroad stripe and I love them. Definitely boyfriendy in cut. I got a 29 and it has plenty of room. I could have gone down to a 28. By comparison, I generally go for a 30 in most premium denim (AG, Paige).

Oh, thank you Janet! Now I know if you say size down, it won't be sausage tight, just with a tad bit of ease. I sized down in my TR Cameron jeans and find those perfect that way.

I chatted online so if it helps anyone for future reference - 26's are 38.5" hip and 32" waist with 10.25" rise. 27's are 10.5 rise with 39.5 hip (I forget the waist, as I'd decided they were too big for me).

I don't know about their shorts but I sure love the jeans. Got a white pair and the rail strip BFs earlier in the season. I really sized down for the boyfriends because they were just soo big. You should order two sizes from which to choose I think.
