DH and I are hoping to do a trip or two over the next 12 months, and considering options. We’d like to go to places we’ve never been before, for trips from 2-4 weeks. Madeira has come up in conversation recently, as has Porto. Both in Portugal. For the combination of good weather when things aren’t so nice in Ontario, Canada and a good mix of R&R vs (cultural) activities. Madeira was mentioned because it was quiet and was beautiful in a natural way.
Have any Fabbers travelled through Portugal? Stayed in Madeira? Porto? What opinion have you formed of the country/place, and would you recommend it?
