Ah - that's sad, Elizabeth. Sveta had the same issue. I think I was wise not to order them. I would likely have the problem, too.

I lemming'd on these too. I ordered the navy in 4p and the red in 2 regular. I think the navy is too tight so they are going back. The 2 regular fits surprisingly well - it is higher rise on me which I prefer. My question is, do they stretch out at all?

They do need hemming, if I keep them.

I'm on the fence because when I hang them up in my closet, the red really stands out ... as if out of place with everything else in my closet... am I brave enough to wear these or will they become orphans?

Well, I'm jealous. The red was what I'd ordered, and they were borderline short on me. But they don't come in tall. I wondereed if the tall (which would then have needed some hemming) might solve the calf issue, as the taper might have started in a different place.

Oh well.

FWIW, I loved the red on you. But I can't possibly predict if you are likely to wear them, or if they'll become orphans. They seemed to go with a ton of stuff when you posted about them!

Sorry to hear that, but you're not alone. I tried them on in the store and while they didn't have my exact size, the one above and below my size, gave me pause on the general fit for my body.
