Low heel special occasion shoes - are these matronly?

I'm attending a wedding next Saturday and bought these sandals in silver to wear with this LBD.

They fit my needs: very low heel, available in size 12, and fairly dressy - but I need a reality check to make sure they're not frumpy and matronly. I actually think they're pretty... but I'm 26 and I'm sure most of the women my age will be in 3-4 inch heels, so I know this look is a little different...

(Also my husband is the best man in the wedding and wearing a tux, so I do need to look appropriate.)

I am still looking for modern accessories to lighten this up a bit, but I just want to make sure I'm not totally off base and dressing myself too maturely.

And if I AM heading in the wrong direction with these shoes, please help me find something dressy, with a heel lower than 2 inches, and available in size 12.

I don't think they're matronly on their own, but they could skew that direction depending on the rest of your outfit.

My initial reaction is that I don't see wedges as dressy enough for a wedding where your husband in a tux... I could be alone in this view, so let's see what others say...

Hm, there is nothing matronly about either piece on its own, but it's tough to say about them together. First reaction is that wedges and a jersey dress might be a little casual when your DH is in a tux... and somehow that alone might project a little bit of a matronly feel (if that makes sense). Of course it might be different IRL.

Interesting thoughts about the look being too casual. I'll have to try everything on together and see how it feels. Formal wear is hard for me because I never have to wear it!

I'm not even being seated with husband... because he's in the bridal party and I'm not! But that's a whole different topic...

If I'm honest, those sandals are not fab enough for such a killer classic lbd. I am on my iPad but I will try to have a look around for you. I'm thinking more of a dull silver, less sci fi.

How funny. I think the sandals are great for a wedding and hesitate a bit on the dress, because it strikes me as a bit casual. It would all depend on the accessories to me - I think you need some silver jewelry up top.

I think they look fine! The silver is dressy and at 26, you probably couldn't look matronly if you tried.

The shoes look fine to me. The beading makes them fancy, and although the wedge is a bit more casual, I think you need to consider comfort for a wedding. They are usually long with a fair amount of standing around.

I love the silhouette of that dress and I bet it is really flattering on you! I think the fact that it is jersey, means that you really need to make sure that the rest of your accessories (including shoes) are quite dressy. I think that these silver sandals are pretty, but because of the wedge, they seem too casual for the event. I can imagine that it is a real pain to find dressy low-heeled shoes in your size, so if you can't find any, I think these would do - and I wouldn't worry about it! Just make sure that your handbag and jewelry take your outift into the dressy category, OK? And, have fun!

The dress is going to look stunning on you, Marianna, and the wedge shoes are lovely. I agree that the beading makes them dressier, and that handbag and other accessories can further dress things up.

Also: I actually think Angie's Bella Vita Wow pumps in the Gold Cross Hatch colour would be perfect for this. The website says they have a 2 1/2 inch heel, but I remember Angie saying that they're lower.

I think they'll be great for the wedding with the dress. LIke others have said, the embellishment makes them dressy, plus you are tall so you can get away with a lower heel height anyway.

These all said 2 1/2 inches but the incline on your size is going to be a lot less.

ETA: I just looked at the dress again and I happen to agree with those, who suggested a dressier shoe. These are not frumpy, but I would go with something more dressy and special event like.
