Love, love, LOVE!

I love the simplicity here, perfect

Angie, I can see you rocking each and every one of those looks!

Surprisingly, I love the navy loafers the best of all.

I think my favorite outfit of all time is a crisp white buttondown, some great fitting jeans and a pair of killer shoes...maybe just a watch and simple earrings.

Love these. Simple, sleek, elegant, chic, refined. The interest is in the beautiful fit and gorgeous accessories. My favorite is #2. Of course, I would have added belts to the jeans but these types of outfits are my favorites.

Oh yezzzz, fully and completely my cup of tea too. And surprise, surprise, I've been looking at Gucci loafers lately too:-)
Love the yellow ones for you, absolutely adore the navy and pink ones too.

Great looks, no wonder you love them. The shoes are the perfect exclamation point.

Yes! I have been thinking about this style of shoe too.
Comfortable and practical, and great with the cropped pant length.

My favorite thing here, is flat footwear that looks like it has some support. I am already seeing lots of flimsy flats in the stores and I'd like one with a little more support in it.

What great summer looks. I want all the shoes!

1 and 2 represent so well what i'm looking for!! Love!!!

LOVE these. Perfect.

Angie have you seen the ones that are the "oil slick" leather? I don't know what they call them but that's what they look like to me. Those are the ones I'd get.

Hey, whatever happened to the lug sole on the Gucci loafers? That's so much more up my alley. I remember in New York in the 90s everyone had a pair. Except me, because I was a young working stiff and still wore Lifestride.

I love them but you know what I'm going to say. Long sleeves and pants just don't work for me in Austin unless they are very loose and flowing. This fitted look is close to my heart but will give me heatstroke/dehydration if worn in the midst of an Austin summer. : (

Those are fun looks. I like the loafer trend since it has potential for more options for comfortable flat or low-heeled shoes! I feel so picky, though, as I have a poison eye for some of the loafers out there, on MY feet, at least. There is some combination of vamp and taper and color and so forth that I like best to not feel frumpy. (sorry, narrow style filter!). But the more choices out there, the more it might happen.

Angie, do you think we need high-water pants for them to work? Or, if no scrunch, perhaps the lowest ankle pant possible.
One issues that gives me pause is that they are mostly shown with very slim-cut pants on very slim persons. That's hard for pears.

Love the pink ones with the gingham shorts.

Oh, well everybody knows I'm a Gucci girl, right? I can't wait to see you in your yellows, Angie! I'm all excited

p.s. Anna you would be perfect in pink!

Well I was just contemplating a pair of bright, turquoise blue loafers the other day. And now seeing these looks makes me thing I should get them!

What IK said not a summer option here either - but I'll live vicariously through you & your summer

I like simple, unfussy looks. Would wear the first and last ones shown. Not so sure about the longer skirt, as I am still adjusting to that. I love the bright color shoes.

The first ones would be good spring outfits here and I love the simplicity. I may have to adapt it using dark denim clam diggers, a sleeveless buttondown and perforated loafers.

Fun hearing your thoughts on these looks, and I'm high fiving all of you.

IK, I should have mentioned at the start of the thread, that I'd wear my roomy relaxed skinnies, or BF jeans, with this look - and not tight skinnies. Yup. Too hot for Austin and Auzzie Summers unless you're in a/c.

Suz and Inge, this is where we are going for Summer. Along with the Parker pants and cropped blouse look I showed a month ago.

Unfrumped, I think skin on the lower leg is an integral part of this Summer look. It makes the classic loafers look modern and trendy. Not at all a problem for pretty pears. You rocked that look when you showed to us. Tuck the top for a longer leg line.

Mary, thank you. I love the ink blue Gucci loafers, but want a low contrast on my skin tone, which makes the yellow a better choice.

Ornella, thank heavens boring lies in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks, Rachy - or should I call you Princess Gucci.

Karen, I'm not as fond of the lug sole actually. Prefer the refined look of these soles.

Will someone PLEASE fast forward to 75 - 85 degree weather so that I can wear these outfits.

Not quite the same, admittedly....but tempting for me who has such trouble keeping loafers (or any kind of flat) on my foot. I am tempted due to Diana's recent success with the slipper flats from Munro: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/mu.....8;contextu

It comes in pink -- alas, not in my size....

Angie, would slim pants look okay rolled or should they be true crops for this kind of look, do you think?

ETA: I see one pair of jeans in the photos is rolled - and thus answering my own question.

Angie, the thought of baggy jeans in Austin summers makes me shudder. I am so envious of summers that allow pants of ANY style.

Great looks all and with personal touches or change outs, could work for almost everyone (unless it's too hot...). Like the simplicity and the structure and the way it just feels fresh. It makes me aware that despite my daily reliance on knitwear this freezing winter, I am craving something crisp. And maybe, much to my surprise, something very bright also! Yellow patent? I don't wear yellow... yet.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh yeah! I'm loving these looks, especially the first two. I have been craving simplicity and strong, clean lines. Thanks for the inspiration, Angie!

You lot are funny.

IK, at some point you will move to OR and miss your pukka Summer clothes and sandals.

Those Munro loafers are fab, Suz. (Although casual and not dressy because of the sole). I have a client who wears those Munros with slim fit rolled pants and a shirt. She looks stunning.

Eliza, you can combine knitwear with crispness no problem. Stay tuned for Friday's ensemble.

OH wow! Lengthen the gingham shorts and I will wear it all summer (that would be starting quite soon). The button down with black blazer is one of my favorite looks, with less skinny skinnies as you mentioned Angie.

Love, love, love them. All of them! So fresh and crisp and chic. Those yellow patent loafers especially! Gorgeous and so fun. Unfortunately to wear any of these looks, like IK, I'd have to start tomorrow as our temps are already well into the 70s and 80s. Sigh. Hoping to figure out a way to translate this "feel" into something manageable for the long, hot summer, though!

They are all stunning looks Angie. I am a little besotted with the skirt in #3. You NEED those loafers:)
