Loving the FitBit

I ordered the Fitbit after Janet posted about it this week. So spontaneous and unlike me! Thanks Janet!
I had never heard of it before but I love it. I was able to get it here from Future Shop and it arrived 2 days later. It is so easy to use - way nicer than a pedometer. I have the sleep function working now too!

yay! I love the sleep function. I have been quite restless since getting to FL and the sleep graph reflects that.

I'm loving mine too. I have logged in excess of 10000 steps almost every day I've had it. It really does motivate me to keep going.

I am finding that too Janet. I am hosting a wedding shower in half an hour but didn't want to fall short on my steps so I went out this morning before I showered and by the time I got home (almost an hour an a half later), I was up to 12000 steps and 5.6 miles. Woo hoo. I had planned to cut my walk a bit short but was enjoying the fresh air so kept going when I could have turned towards home. I might even go again after dinner and shoot for 20000. Who would have thought a tiny little thing like a fitbit could be so motivating.

All this talk about FitBits had my interest totally piqued so today, while DH was buying a sound system for the TV at Best Buy, guess who was trolling the store looking for FitBits? I am now the proud owner of a burgundy FitBit One. Looking forward to trying it out - thanks to everyone for the motivation!

My dog is also really happy with the Fitbit
I needed to make those steps yesterday so I went out for another walk with her.
Because I work from home I find it really tough to get movement. Work, pick up kids (in car), make dinner etc.

I read your post and told my husband to get me one at Dick's Sporting Goods. I am also not an impusle shopper. I stuck it in my bra ( too much info ? ) and went to a Queen tribute concert that was out.of.this.world.
But I was hugely disappointed that with all that screaming and jumping and singing and dancing and fist pumping to "Bohemian Rhapsody" , I only "walked" 4,773 steps. Ok, that was in two hours. LOL !

Isabel - I think you should have strapped that puppy to your fist - no doubt you would have easily had over 10000. Hahahaha
