Loving my Kamik Brooklyns

Thanks to everyone who gave snow boot advice! I have put my hated, cold-conducting, slippery snow boots in the charity bag and am loving my Kamik Brooklyns so, so much. They're very warm and they passed the "walked to death on the snowy, icy Manhattan sidewalks" comfort test.

I returned the first pair in my usual size because they were a tiny bit snug and went up one size. They'll never win an award for delicacy, but I love them nonetheless.

Yeah another kamik boot twin. Mine are the New York ones which I just recently purchased. I also went up a size because of the stitching across the toe. They are pretty fab - I decided to own that lack of delicate!

Una, yes, function and their general stompy-ness makes me think they're awesome. I wore them to New York on Friday with the following items (I didn't take a photo so a little imagination is required):

Old Navy snakeskin print sweater dress: http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....=939975012
with Halogen tiered leather jacket from NAS a couple years back, sleeves scrunched, and Zara high-waisted black leggings with tights underneath.

Warm, comfortable, and when my darling husband got home, he said, "I love that outfit!" even with the stompy boots.

I have to replace my winter boots this year and while I would love to get Sorrels, the poor reviews leave me cold. Considering Kamiks and just found this article - they are a family business out of Montreal and still locally made

I got the kids proper rain gear this year and their stuff is that same brand. I had never heard of it but I've been impressed by the quality so far. I got myself a pair of liberty print rain boots by Aigle and love them. They wouldn't be warm but they're really great as rain boots. All of it came from zappos. Happy purchases for sure.
