I am buoyed up beyond belief by your kind comments. What a huge comfort this forum is, and you all are so generous it is amazing.

Lots of kisses were in order last night, lots of petting and holding her. She has a stiff leg, probably from walking for hours. She had a lot to say after she calmed down, she is always a vocal pup. She kind of makes "rowr" sounds and whimpers. Then a fire engine went by and she howled and it was the sweetest sound in the world. She dug a big hole and trampled a geranium. All is right with the world.

TG!! *Please* get locks for your gates so this cant happen again. The peace of mind is well worth the momentary inconvenience they cause. I have 2 gates, both with locks, myself.....

So glad she is back home safe and sound!

So glad your dog is safe!!! We had to put a lock on our gate because the stupid meter reader wouldn't make sure the gate was closed.
