Losing best accessory

My best accessory - the Ed dog - has gone to a new dimension today... You would have noticed the attention seeker in nigh on all the photos I posted and of course my avatar here... I guess I will slowly make some changes over time... but will sure miss that dog in my WIWs and every other aspect of my life

It saddens me to hear about Ed. I know this is a huge loss for you and I'm sorry you're going thru it. Our fifteen year old golden retriever died two summers ago and it was very painful. One thing that helped us is having a portrait made of her. It now hangs in our kitchen eating area, and we are continually reminded of our wonderful memories with this loving friend. Oh my goodness that is such sad news. I am so sorry for your loss.

I recently read something about a child explaining why dogs have shorter lives than we do. And he said that we have to stay long enough to learn how to be good. Since dogs know that already, they don't have to live as long. That makes sense to me as there Is nothing like the unconditional love we receive from our dogs.

I am SO sorry for your loss... he was very lucky to have you, as you were to have him. They are truly a beloved family member who can never be 'replaced' but maybe sometime you can open your hearts and home to another to help fill the void.... he will live on, in your hearts and memories forever and you *will* see him again someday...I truly believe that.
