I am so very very happy to read this list, Angie! It's so in sync with what I'm feeling too!

Bootcuts look very fresh to me this season too. That's why I now have 4 pairs ---- all 'my' colors covered. Toffee is also a colour I'm loving, even though it may not be the best colour for me. I'm determined to make it work with the right scarf/sweater close to my face, since I already own a beautiful toffee coat for winter. A pastel coat is already on my To-Add list for winters (we will not see winter wear in stores before October in India).

What do you mean by dressy jeans? Basically jeans with no distressing in darker wash, right? If so, I have that covered.

Could you explain 'sleek no-nonsense tailoring and polish' a bit further? Somehow I can't envision what you mean by that....

Cropped pants/jeans with higher shaft booties. Toffee. Bootcuts w trendy tops. Midcalf boots.

These are all on my radar and appeal to my sense of style. The boots are probably the biggest style update I want to make .

Pastel coats and outerwear - I've always had them in my wardrobe, trending or not. It's a look I find flattering mid-winter, and especially with my hair and skin colour. Denim on denim holds zero appeal to me, and I've decided I'm glad I didn't bite on the culottes trend. I prefer cropped pants. Sleek no-nonsense tailoring and polish - I always strive for that. Dressy jeans? Not sure what they would look like, but I've never liked the office jeans look, or trouser jeans, if that's what you mean.

I havesome work to do. I have a blush coat, can do denim on denim, have knee high boots and am trying a pair of short boots that might be tall booties but not quite calf length. These are hard to find that are not way too wide at the top. Some jeans can be worn dressy..
I want to add toffee as a neutral and the right high shaft booties, maybe both in toffee?

Great list. I am looking for some changes this season as I am getting tired of things like skinnies all the time, ankle booties, rolled jeans of all kinds, and the current fashion sneakers. I will still wear my rolled or cuffed jeans, skinnies and cropped jeans, but it will be fun to have some new styles. have 4 pairs of old bootcut/flares/or whatever they are. Going to take some pics to post soon. Still looking for taller shaft boooties, and some kind of hybrid hikers or such, but decided my best would be something with dark soles since I can not keep white clean. also I want them for my mountain footwear, so have to be able to accommodate some walking non pavement places.

I'm glad to see that I've somehow ended up with fresh looks, when I was just really buying things that appealed to me. Toffee, higher shaft boots/booties, light/pastel coats, capes, sleek/no-nonsense tailored looks, hybrid shoes, dressy jeans (in my case, not trouser jeans, but jeans made from dressier fabrics like coated, waxed, brocade). Once it cools down a bit, I will get my bootcuts into the rotation with some trendy tops.

This is a small detail, but I'm adding skinny scarves worn long and smaller silk scarves worn close to the neck.

I think that wedge/flatform oxfords and loafers look fresh-- we've seen them before, but this time they are coming down to retail. The ghille-like flats are also something "retail-fresh".

I'm going to be all over the midcalf boot, denim on denim, bootcut w/blouse, and dressy jeans trends as I rock them already.

I'm interested in hybrid footwear and toffee.

I'm not a fan of the hybrid shoes, but then I don't like much anything that could be called 'hybrid' - looks confused stylewise to me. Otherwise I am psyched about the sleek looks, bootcuts and flares, and dressy jeans. I will enjoy seeing others wear retro futurism, culottes, and capes.

My jean choices for fall have been a little dressier, darker shades with no whiskering, fading, or distressing. My boot choices were 1bootie, 1 mid 1 tall. I'm most likely a no for culottes, but I wont say never.

Ooooohhh did someone say sleek tailoring!!
- I am feeling suits/suiting/sharp blazers/tailored pants - polish, professional with some ladylike edge.
-Definitely feeling bootcuts with pointy toe booties. Thinking of ordering the Theory Max urban pants from saks, as I don't have a dressy pair
-Long jackets are more available. Not a lot of good ones but I am scope locked on them as usual.
- Elegant black hiking boots - love throwing them into the mix. Used to do it alot and now in the mood again. I never left off my ariat heritage II lacers so I've been on the cutting edge of bootie height, plus I am still feeling otk and knee boots and have added another pair of each.
- minimal, sleek, line, restraint, polish, professional elegance with sharp tailoring most of all.
- also I'm craving "top gun" style. Anyone remember kelly mcgillis as "charlie?" Her awesome oversized bomber jacket over a pencil skirt? I bought Madewell's perfect leather moto, sized up and it's that awesome piece that makes everything look cooler, including me!!
- waxed black denim - just got the EF can't wait for it to be cool enough to wear.
- ps you'll all hate this but I am feeling "black" Inky, mysterious, sooty, sleek, powerful black!

I will be wearing lots of toffee. Love that colour. I just bought a pair of dark denim jeans that had only a small amount of fading and whiskering. They are called BF but are more like tailored skinnies if that makes sense. I also bought a brown and yellow scarf. I am seeing lots of ponchos and capes. I have one from the early 2000s but would like another. Zara had a nice one. I have a few pairs of high shaft booties. Denim on denim is a look I will try.

Pastels I will pass on. We don't get along.
