I would like to get a new winter coat this year. Generally speaking, I don't like coats! Fortunately, It doesn't get very cold here until December and by mid to late February we are usually past the really cold temps. When we do get snow, it rarely lasts more than a day or two.
But since I still need a coat, I'd like to find one that I don't mind wearing. Ideally, it would be something other than black, not super heavy, not restrictive so a slightly slouchy fit, in a simple shape without a lot of detail. I want it to look good worn open because that's how I usually wear it.
I've seen a couple that might work and I'd love your opinion or any recommendations.
I like the color of this one and the simple style, but it may be a bit too fitted/structured.

I love the silhouette of this one but it only comes in black and "oyster." Is the light color too drab? And would it work with gray?

Finally, I tried this one on. It fit well and it should be heavy enough for my needs. But it's charcoal so not exactly a fun color.

I know it's early and the stores don't have many coats in yet so I do have time.
Edited to add a picture of this Vince Camuto I saw. This looks like the shape I want and I like the red.
