Looking for the right ankle boots.

Hello wonderful YLF ladies! I am looking for some help with finding the right ankle boots to wear with skinny jeans. It seems a little tricky because I'd like a streamlined look where the cuff of the pants and the boots begin. Not sure I know what I'm looking for and the other factor I have to keep in mind is that it has to be "wearable", meaning not more than 2 1/2" heels. This is the look that I have in mind from Pippa Middleton. It seems so sharp yet would probably work for me as a MOTG.

Cute boots ladies! So, does it matter where the bootie ends? It seems tricky, don't want to have to tuck my skinnies in ankle boots, but don't really care for the rolled up look, but then, if they are too low...almost "shooties", then, my socks might show? Maybe I'm over thinking this....

I see Pippa is wearing ankle length skinnies with no scrunch so that could be the difference. I think if the shaft fits snugly enough you shouldn't have to worry about it.

This look can also work with straight legs, if you think the hem openings of your skinnies will be too small (mine all are).

AG-Those clarks are really nice. They are a good mix of casual and dressy. My skinnies all seem to stop around my ankle too. Actuallly they are more "jeggings", I suppose. I plan to wear them with flowy blouses and tunic length sweaters.

Aida-Thanks for pointing that out. I do have a pair of straight legs that I ponder what shoes to wear with. Cute booties may be just the ticket.

modgrl-Do you think wedges look ok with a really skinny leg...like jeggings? I was afraid they would look too heavy. They are cute though and I love a wedge shoe for comfort.

Queenmum-Nice picks! You picked out a lot of the shooties. Would you wear those with regular socks, thin trouser socks, knee high hose or barefoot? They are so lovely and sleek looking that they probably need knee high hose or barefeet...what do you think?
