Looking for short sleeve shirt liner/cami

A number of years ago, I purchased a couple of nude colored short sleeve silk pointelle T-shirts from LlBean. They have been fabulous liners under all of my button front shirts and as stain protection under my silk shirts as well.

I’ve not had any luck in finding replacements for them. L.L. Bean only carries a three-quarter sleeve silk tee, or a long sleeve silk tee, and nothing in nude color.

The combination of the very lightweight knit silk, a short sleeve (not sleeveless) and the beige-y nude has turned out to be a unicorn of sorts.

Do any of you have suggestions about alternatives? How do you keep deoderant stains from ruining your white shirts?

Calida used to make some that would fit your description. That's what I'd check first. I've had several, in a silk-wool blend. My nude and black ones are long gone, worn to shreds, but I still have a dark brown one with lace trim that I wear under shirts in the winter. Can be hard to find in the US, but keep an eye on Sierra Trading Post and Amazon.

For a cheaper and more readily available solution, I'd get a couple of scoop neck undershirts from Uniqlo -- heattech for winter, airism for summer:

My unicorn of a lightweight silk knit, short sleeved nude tee is from COS. I hunted on eBay for a while before I found one, so I know your frustration. Hanro makes a lovely 'Skin' nude cotton or silk/wool blend and has tank tops and one short sleeved camisole on eBay right now.
It's "Hanro of Switzerland Camisole Shaper Nude", if that helps.

A second option would be to have long sleeves altered into short ones?

Try Vermont Country Store for short sleeve camis, though I think they have cotton, not silk.

I have found that clear gel deodorants work well - I like Secret Outlast.

La Ped - Uniqlo had potential, but am concerned about the sizing - love the look, love the price, wah wah wah on the sizes. (43” bust....)

SandyG - I love eBay - Hanro would be a terrific find in the right size!

Binkle - love the look of the winter silk - have you bought from them before? I might have to give one of the vee necks a try.

I too was going to say winter silks- I have bought from them before. Depending on product- hit or miss. Suggest you buy one piece to see if it is quality you like. Vermont country store has awesome stuff but can be pricey. And of course- Amazon.
